My great friend and partner in parrots, Avril Barton, passed away on Sunday 3rd September after a long and increasingly arduous illness which she endured with great courage and good humour to the very end. She was warm, generous and fearless in fighting for what she believed in. Her love of parrots was obvious to all who knew her and she will be greatly missed by all her many friends.

Avril will always be remembered amongst bird people for her love and passion of birds. I will always remember her as the "Feather Lady"
